It’s
hard to say if we chose our name or if our name chose us. As
we pondered over the name change of our 140-acre farm, it seemed
that every name we chose just wasn’t the right one. One
evening while we were tending our horses, we noticed a big beautiful
rainbow in the sky. As always, we admired it until it
faded away. For the next five days, a rainbow appeared over
our farm after the summer showers, adorning the skies above us with
its magnificent presence as pictured above. In unison, we
said, “Lets call it Rainbow Farm.” So Rainbow Farm we
became. It fit so well with our love for and desire to produce and
raise these beautiful horses of color.
Our
family has worked together both on and off the farm. We are Bob
& Tommie Weathers. We were blessed with three sons, Wendell,
Tony (deceased), and Bob Jr. (deceased). Our oldest son Wendell, and
his wife Tammie, have blessed us with three beautiful grandchildren,
Ross, and twins Robert & Emily. Bob retired from MS Gulf Coast
Community College in Perkinston, MS, in 2002 after 42 years as head
basketball coach and instructor. Tommie retired in 2003 after 30
years with MGCCC in the business and records offices. Wendell taught
and assisted his dad for 15 years and became the head basketball
coach after Bob retired. He also teaches Chemistry and is the
Chairman of the Science Department at MGCCC. And to make it
unanimous, Tammie is the MGCCC Bookstore manager.

We are enjoying our retirement, our grandchildren's activities, our
friends, and being able to spend more time with these beautiful
horses on our farm. Below are some candid shots of our family, farm,
and our horses. We hope you will enjoy them.
